Business Expo

Ty Green with a student at Madison Creek
Elementary.
The Beech DECA chapter just recently participated in a small business expo at Madison Creek Elementary School in Goodlettsville, TN. Beech students helped 3rd graders learn about what an entrepreneur is and helped them create a business. On Halloween students sold their goods and services to other 3rd graders! The expo was a perfect way to show these kids what the business world is like.

What is an Entrepreneur?

An entrepreneur is a person who organizes and manages a business undertaking, assuming the risk for the sake of the profit. An entrepreneur: Sees an opportunity. Makes a plan. Starts a business. Manages the business. Receives the profits.

Being an entrepreneur doesn't require you to have a college degree or even a high school degree. Anyone can become an entrepreneur. Just create a business and you are by definition "an entrepreneur." Don't forget age has no limit on becoming an entrepreneur.
